X-mas Games !

Hi,

Well for a change it's sunny - only the last 2 days, when i have gone to pick H up at 3.30pm, it has chucked down with rain and then dried up like nothing had happened !!

Ok i'll admit it now, i'm not quite sure about this card as i don't really do CAS (as i so love my DP's and following a sketch), but thought i would give it a whirl, as there are a couple of challenges around - the trees are PB - 'Starlit' and like the snowflakes has been heat embossed with WOW - 'White Pearl', the snowflakes and sentiment are PB - 'Crystalline' / transparent set, dry embossing CB - 'Snow', the snow on the mountain is 'Aleen's True Snow', and i've distressed it with Tim Holtz - 'Faded Jeans' to break up the white.

In A Pot

Hi,

We had a lovely day out on Saturday, we went to Plumpton Agricultural College Open Day and it was super walking round, seeing what all the students get up too.  I had a phone call 2 weeks ago from my GP to say there was a problem with my liver, but as i was seeing the Consultant last week, wait to see him - he decided to take me down to 10mg of my drugs, instead of 15mg, but he was not overly worried, as the rest of me is responding very well, but said he would monitor it.

Today's stamp, is a sweet little one that i've had for a while and thought it would be just right for the sketch at
Bearly Mine, although i did originally make the strips a little wider and had to get the iron out to get them off, so i could make them smaller !!, the papers are Basic Grey - 'Sultry and Eva', the circle behind the image is Memory Box - 'Whimsy Circle' (a die i don't use very often, as i think it's too small !!), the corner is Memory Box - 'Madera Corner', gems are 'Kaisercraft', Flowers 'Wild Orchid Crafts', leaves Sizzix - 'Flowers, Leaves & Branches'.

Stitch In Time

Hi,

Well we had a super time in Yorkshire - we went to 'Eureka' and H absolutely loved it and wants to know when can he go again !!, we went shopping at the outlet mall and i bought a few things in M & S including a linen jacket was originally £59 and had been reduced to £35, then when i got to the checkout, it had another 20% off, yipee and we met up with some friends for lunch in Halifax.  We didn't have enough time for me to visit LOTV shop this time, but we are up again at the beginning of August, so i will check out the classes, see if i fancy doing one and if i do then i will book myself on one.

I would just like to say a huge thank you for all the fabby comments, you all left me, for my last card 'Sailing Boat', i have never had so many and it really means a lot to me.

When i saw the 'Sew Special' Challenge at Penny Black At Allsorts, i knew that the stamp i must use is this one, the papers (and sentiment) came free with 'Creative Cardmaking' and they are a 'Nitwit' design ( i think the magazine dates back a couple of years) - i've put glossy accents on all the centres of the white flowers, thimble button is from 'Craftime - Sewing Room' and the twine is from my stash.

Sailing Boat

Hi,

Gee what gorgeous weather we have had for the last couple of days, which sure makes a change. We are going up to Yorkshire this weekend (as we were unable to go at Easter - due to the snow drifts), we are hoping to take H to 'Eureka' in Halifax and we are meeting up with friends at some point too.

Sorry 'Tilly' it's another boy's card today :-).  The papers i've had about 6 months, so instead of stroking them, i thought it was about time i used them and they are : Maja Design 'Life By The Sea'.  Sentiment - Basic Grey,  Anchor Die is an old 'Sizzlits Die', I've distressed the edges and mesh with Distressed Ink 'Faded Jeans', the buttons, mesh and twine are from my stash.

The Pink Squadron

Hi,

Well we had a very lovely weekend - on Saturday morning we went to the local RSPB to walk Whisper and count birds for H's school project, then in the evening my friend and i went to The Hawth, Crawley to see 'Birdsong' and it was great, then yesterday we went to 'Chesworth Farm' in Horsham for crafty activities, a nature trail and a Police search dog was practicing his finding skills, by looking for lost children, which H thought was great.
