Hi,

To all my Australian friends - HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY and i so wish i were there celebrating with you.

Thanks for all the lovely comments for my last card and the photo of Alan and I dressed up. My Favourite 5 Of The Year And A Happy New Year Too

Hi,

Well what do they say about best laid plans - well i so wish i had set up this as a scheduled post on Boxing Day, as on the 27th Alan went down with the lurgy and he decided to share it with me and i was hit by it on the 29th, spent the first day in bed, got up on the 30th and we drove 5 hours to Yorkshire and then spent the next 3 days wandering around like a zombie, with blocked sinuses and a hacking cough am now feeling 70% better, but it's H's 8th Birthday today, will be so glad when he goes back to school on Monday, so my weak immune system can recover.

The lovely Debby is holding her 'Favourite 5 Cards of the Year' again and here are mine, i hope some are yours too :

'For You !!' - Helen the Leader asked me for a card to send Heather (her assistant) from the Beavers, but as she is not at all girly, i thought this would be perfect and apparently she loved it - i so love shape cards too

'Bees And Bunny' - this was made for a friend of mine's 40th and yellow is her favourite colour (i had texted her to ask her in advance and she was very confused with the question !!!), plus i so loved using that amazing Whimsy die too.

'Fish Dream' - those of you that follow me, will know i'm mad about old PB's and this one is from 1996 and i so much prefer boy's cards too, plus who can resist those fabby Maja By Design papers too !!

'YeeHaa' - how could i not include an LOTV image, especially the boys ones, as they are all so perfect for H's friends and we sent this one to Archie and the other day his mum told me, this was his favourite card, that he had been sent, gee i was so touched.

'Sweet Slumber' - i sent this to my buddy Mel in Oz for her Birthday and it was the last card of mine, her Mum (who was 102, her name was Alma, but i always called her Edna, as she spoke just like Dame Edna Everage) got to see, before she passed away and apparently she gave Mel one of her famous Edna smiles too.

Thanks for looking and for all the great comments you have kindly left me over the last year, they have all been very much appreciated, Luv Sam x
